Nancy Asbell's ‘Florida Horizons' conjure up a menagerie of raw emotions. Gazing into these vivid windows, your imagination runs wild in rivers of grass and skylines of Sabal palms.  Nancy captures that summer evening's vibrant sunset just as you remembered it, when your camera could never do the moment justice. You find solace in these Florida Horizons, and will return to them for years to come. Nancy says, "Growing up in Florida I have fallen in love with our beautiful skies, marshes, and wildlife.  'Florida Horizons' celebrates this desire to call attention to the Florida that I grew up with, the Florida that is slipping away, and the Florida that is around us every day.  As a Lupus survivor, I am an advocate for Lupus awareness, and 10% of all of my proceeds are donated to the Florida Lupus Association."

Designer Patty Bodney gives great care and attention to detail in every piece of her custom ceramics, with each piece designed based on special inspiration. “Padi” offers four collections: the Welcome home collection, the Dots Galore Collection, the Tradewinds, and Vegetable Medley.  Each collection can be used individually or interchange with the other collections.  Each piece Padi paints is hand painted and hand glazed, and everything Padi paints is “hand painted with style!”

Since the age of 12, Cathy Brown has wanted to do metal work, but back then a girl in a metal shop class was not the norm and she was directed to take a music class instead. That passion was set aside for a more practical life, but for years, she has wondered what she could have done art-wise and dreamed of setting up something for all artists, a forum or gallery.  Now working with copper enameling, she has found her joy and hopes to expand into other metals and creating wonderful free-standing metal pieces that will decorate homes, offices, and galleries around the world. Here are her first steps!

"I am a mostly self taught artist that paints primarily with acrylic on watercolor paper. There is a certain kind of magic that goes on with this media. I love to be surprised with the end result. I have learned through the years to not plan so much with artwork. Paintings are much more interesting if you let the energy of that piece flow on its own. For me there is a definite  pleasure in turning average objects & scenes into fine art. If you are looking for paintings that are created with a true devotion to the arts, you have found it here. Please come & enjoy!"

Having a lifelong love of eating and entertaining, Jennelle Comiskey's pottery is all about showing off food in a fun way.   Her specialties include a baked brie plate which comes with an original recipe and a large square dish that comes with an orange brownie recipe.  Other popular wares include oyster bowls (great for salads & chips) and bright whimsical fish plates for entertaining guests.  She also makes necklaces, coasters and candle holders, crosses, decorative dog and cat bowls and so much more.  Hope you enjoy!

Artist Anne Cullum: "I hope you will enjoy my collection of original art pieces inspired by great color and texture that are truly timeless, yet relate perfectly with contemporary design. If you love Pottery Barn and Anthropologie style home decor, you will love what EliSilas Designs has to offer.

Linda is inspired by the beauty and gifts of nature around her whether at home, on the St. Johns River or traveling the Caribbean Islands. Her favorite subjects are what she calls “God’s Little Treasures”, the things we often pass by during our busy day without seeing. It helps her remember to take time to smell the roses each day and to savour and be thankful for each moment shared with the world the Lord has created for our pleasure.

Ellie is a self taught artist whose paintings are primarily done in watercolor and ink.  "My paintings are mainly of fantasy type art that are visions of whatever happens to enter my mind at the time and ends up on paper. I find painting an outlet to express myself and have been absolutely thrilled that others have enjoyed and appreciated it as well. I hope that you will find my work interesting."

At seventeen Nicki Leach was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. But Nicki never stopped smiling--even though she lost her reading ability, could not speak and became blind in one eye. As her illness progressed, Nicki found comfort in her camera, taking pictures outside.  She left behind her beautiful photographs that have been reproduced for framing as well as greeting cards. All proceeds from sale of her photographs support the Nicki Leach Foundation which honors her request to help others suffering with cancer.  "Don't frown because it's over...smile because it happened."

“Through a myriad of experiences and travels that have broadened my mind and pleased my soul, I am now back to my roots painting and photographing, as well as writing books.  Through my painting, I express the beautiful cattails in their wild and willowy manner in the swamps and tributaries of the St. Johns River and beyond.  I have grown up with these beautiful strands of green and brown, and they tend to follow me wherever I go.  They are different throughout our country and abroad.  They are sentinels for our environment.  My range of color is exciting to work with and my tools are decades old, recently found and now reused.  Through my photography I capture in a very simple way what I see with my eye and now am able to share with others, such as the reflections of the wild swamp and marsh and the nuances of color throughout the natural landscape.  Through my words in my book I am able to touch those in the midst of change and support their move forward.  I have found my place for a while.  I am blessed to be able to share my passion.”

Lyn Richards creates lampwork beads with the goal of bringing joy and delight to her friends and customers with every piece she makes. Though her style is eclectic, she's found her comfort zone in bright cheery pieces, full of color and movement, as well as in earthy organic beads, full of detail and depth. Reveling in her time at the torch, she also creates custom Twisties and Cane for other lampworkers.  In addition to lampwork, her jewelry is based on her own vision, where she sees the piece in her head, goes to the torch to bring the beads to life, then extends the piece into its jewelry form. She's happy to take custom orders! She's also on Etsy!
