I've been an artist all my life, even when I didn't think I was an artist. From a young age, I made things. I found it to be much more fun than just playing with my toys or dolls. I was adopted at three days old, and at 13 years old found out that my birth mother was an artist...so I set out to be like her. My adopted father didn't think I would make it as an artist, and he convinced me to go to law school after obtaining my B.F.A. from Wesleyan College. I reluctantly agreed for a couple of months until I met my life partner, Danny. He and his wonderful family convinced me that I should be an artist. So I left law school, got married, and started my dream of becoming an artist. I studied photography in college and worked in Atlanta as an interior design photographer.
After my son Luke was born, I stayed at home and started painting. Through the eyes of a child, I developed my passion for whimsical, fun art. When he went off to school, I opened two art galleries in the Atlanta area. I quickly learned that selling art in a brick and mortar location and dealing with quirky creative types was more than I had planned for. So in 1997 I turned to the Internet for survival. I had to teach myself everything. It wasn't easy, but I soon learned that the Internet provided a much broader buying customer base than could ever walk through the doors of the Atlanta galleries. In 2000, I closed the physical galleries and began selling entirely on the Internet.
In 2001, my daughter Logan was born.... and things haven't been the same since! A little girl... fairies... glitter... my gosh... could it get any better? Yes...it could. Even though I had successfully "made" it as an artist for nine years, I still was wanting more. I had a small, cramped studio in the suburbs of Atlanta. I wasn't very happy, and was longing for more.
In 2006, the movie "The Secret" was released. It changed my life. I started applying the Laws of Attraction to my daily life and intensified my studies with a life coach, Retha Logan, and manifested my dream life in only six months time. In June of 2007, my family and I moved to Fernandina Beach on the gorgeous Amelia Island. I have a new house 250 feet from the beach and the most awesome huge studio loft in the historic downtown. It's been a roller coaster ride, but I wouldn't change a thing.
Oh...for those of you wondering....my adopted Dad finally came around and accepted me as an artist. In his final years, he even helped me in my studio and galleries. I lost both my adopted parents in the late 1990's. I also did meet my adopted mom. She's still an artist, too, and lives in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
See more of Wyanne's art in here Etsy store, on her website and on her blog.  She now offers a series of online art workshops, which you can see on her website.
